Congrats Emily on being our Virtue of the Month
Award Winner!

Spalding: We will continue to review our phonograms focusing on ten at a time in class.  Our spelling words will be: year, to, I, as, send, one, lone, alone, has, some. This will be our last week of new words.

Sight Words:We have now learned all of our sight word lists so we will use this time to review.

Literature:  This week we will explore the fairy tale “Cinderella.”  Our poem will be a special surprise we are working on for our promotion ceramony. We will also reflect on this school year by starting a “Kindergarten Memories,” book.
Math:
This week we will be doing a review on number bonds and subtraction.  On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, students will be taking a Great Hearts Singapore Math Test.  There is no need to study for this test, as we have been reviewing topics throughout the year.  Tests will not be sent home, and are used to see progress that has been made throughout the year.  Homework will be a combination of review items.
Science: We will continue to explore outer space this week. Students will learn the names of our planets as well as fun facts about them. We will talk about stars and constellations and students will get to create their own constellations. Lastly, we will learn about the job of an astronaut!
